Villianess Emma Frost, AKA the White Queen Debuted in 1980's in Uncanny X-Men #129. Since then, she has repented and become a core member of the X-Men who will play a major role in next year's X-Men: First Class portrayed by January Jones. This will not be Emma's first time gracing the screen. Let's take a look at her history as a sometimes heroine sometimes villain.
Emma's first appearance (or lack thereof) appeared on the 1989 pilot to the unlaunched series Pryde of the X-Men in which she was a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.
Emma next appeared a s member of the Hellfire club in the sentinel Dark Phoenix Saga arc of the 1992 X-Men animated series.
In the (again seldom seen) 1996 Generation X TV movie, Emma Frost along with Banshee served as the headmistress at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Emma joined Wolverine and the X-Men in 2009 and even though she toed the line, she was pretty much one of the good guys. As in the comics, this Emma filled the role of team telepath in the absence of Jean Grey.
Emma appeared briefly in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009 in which her secondary mutation, the ability to take on a crystalline form, manifest. At this point, Emma is ready for her big breakout role in 2011.
