This one certainly started strong with the Orange Lantern looking Lion-X of the Lionmen and his cadre of alien companions including the return of a Swamp Things look-alike. They wanted to slice and divide Earth like an orange.
By the time Earth looks like this, I would assume the Friends had already failed, but determination along with a bear and an ice saw saw the pieces of Earth somehow glued back together. A pretty fun episode thanks mostly to the Lionmen and the uneventful destruction of Earth.
