Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Make 'Em Laugh

I wasn't really feeling this episode about Joker's bid for the "King of Comedy" in Gotham City. Seems like he wouldn't concern himself with something so petty. But introducing Hatter tech did give it a modest boost in enjoyability.  

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Trial

Easily the best part of this episode  was seeing so many villains together and interacting, but lets be honest, the premise of a trial for Batman in Arkham was sort of weak. 

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Worry Men

This decent, if not forgettable mystery pleasantly revealed The Mad Hatter as the mastermind, armed with mind-control inducing dolls. Seeing the Hatter again is always a treat even if the use of Mayan costumed goons was a tad unconventional. 

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Perchance to Dream

 

Is it really impossible to read something in a dream? Even though its pretty obvious from the title that some sort of dream is involved, this episode still maintains a great deal of suspense. Who is The Batman? Who is behind the dream? And the tragedy of Bruce actually believing his nightmare is over and his parents are alive is heart wrenching. Would Bruce choose fantasy or grim reality? You just knew this one wouldn't end well. 

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Mad as a Hatter

 

 Its hard to believe I am already a quarter of the way through the series because the amazing character introductions are still coming strong (with the exception of a couple hiccups / quacks with the Penguin). This episode, like others that have come earlier, took a lesser know villain in the Mad Hatter and instantly elevated him to fan favorite status with a tragic back story. :'( The Hatter's mind control was also a nice differentiating element that made him a reasonable threat despite his lack of physical  prowess. Of course, his assaults on Batman would become more personal in the episodes that followed...

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - A Mad, Mad Tea Party

 Driving his own "Hatmobile" the Mad Hatter made his animated debut in this little gem of an episode.
