Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Batman and Robin Up, Through, and Around

This one was a little more of an intangible, spatial concept lesson. I guess we were supposed to expand our vocabulary with the words up, through, and around using a batarang. I have to admit, that's a lot more fun than I ever had in English class.

Before Superman ventured into Sesame Street to help with spelling, Batman and Robin made a pair of appearances. In 1969 the Dynamic Duo taught the virtues of using the crosswalk to cross the road. Otherwise, you could get hit by a car or, you know, you could fall into a manhole. Love that Joker.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - S is for Superman

C is for cookie, but that ain't good enough for me. I want more letters and \S/ will do nicely. In 1971, before the Super Friends PSAs became a staple of Saturday mornings, Superman was doing public service on \S/esame \S/treet. Turns out that in addition to Superman, S is for speed, sky, and spaceship as well as a bunch of other things. Its also the Man of Steel's favorite letter. Great stuff! Too bad there wasn't a whole series including W is for Wonder Woman and F is for Flash. But Superman wasn't the only DC hero to visit Sesame...

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - New Teen Titans: Gamma Rays and You

After a bit of a summer hiatus, this was not the best short to get the old ball rolling again. I enjoyed Starfire's gag about super "powders," but the laughs were a bit sparse this time around. I didn't even really get the premise... something about outtakes from a PSA to warn of gamma ray exposure... This was begging for a Hulk homage. Oh well, at least I can be sure that the next time around the Titans are likely to deliver.

Not sure what flying a kite has to do with sneaking pills from mom's medicine cabinet, but I agree popping pills is not a great idea. Thanks Superman.

I would have guessed the decoder clue would have been either "magnet" or "planet" but after 14 episodes, they finally decided on a clue that had nothing to do with the preceding episode. Maybe those other words were deemed too hard.

Once again, Aquaman emerged from a conveniently located swimming pool in order to deliver his lesson. Where he got his own set of catcher's pads, I know not.

At least this decoder was a bit challenging. Synonym for quiet or nickname for mother (mum) + not you but rhymes with she (me). And while I am pretty sure this puzzle was still solvable by anyone, I have to stop and wonder once again, what's the point. Yeah, there was a mummy in the last episode. So what?
