Onscreen History of Talia al Ghul

First appearing in Detective Comics #411 in 1971, Talia al Ghul AKA تاليا الغول‎ , now estranged daughter of super villain / eco-terrorist / leader of the League of Shadows Ra's al Ghul has played a major role in the life of the Dark Knight. As a sometimes love interest and sometimes villain, Talia is the mother of current Robin and Batman heir Damian Wayne.

Talia first appeared onscreen in Batman: The Animated Series in episodes including the epic 1993 two-part tale which introduced Ra's al Ghul, The Demon's Quest. Batman rejected Ra's offer to become heir to the al Ghul empire which included the offer to marry his daughter Talia.

Scorned Talia and her ailing papa returned in 1999 during the Superman animated series episode, The Demon Reborn. In the episode, Talia used a Native American staff to transfer power from Superman to Ra's after the Lazarus pits became ineffective.

A deceptively youthful and healthy Talia returned in Batman Beyond. In the 2000 episode Out of the Past, Talia offered Bruce Wayne a chance to regain his youth. Little did Bruce realize he would soon discover the secret of the crying game.

In early 2010, Talia returned in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold episode Sidekicks Assemble! This time, it was wee Robin who she put the moves on, though in Season 3's Crisis 22,300 Miles Above Earth! all was made right with Talia making the moves one again on Master Bruce.

Later in 2010, Talia was seen briefly in Batman: Under the Red Hood beside her father who brought the slain Jason Todd back from the dead. As Talia has consistently appeared along side her father, rumors persist that Talia al Ghul may appear in the 2012 movie The Dark Knight Rises. Whether or not those rumors pan out remains to be seen.
