The sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man has claimed May 2, 2014 for its release, officially opening the summer movie season... in three years. While it seems awfully early for Spidey to web up this release date, it was a masterful move.

Weekly Top 5 in Superhero Shows - 05 August 2011
The leaked 2011 pilot for Wonder Woman (and still available by the way) lassoed up the most interest this past week, though another costumed heroine has been making a last minute run - Batgirl. Oddly enough, it was a "promo" for a computer animated Batgirl show (with a cameo by the Dark Knight himself) that with the help of Bat-Mite capped of the series finale of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Threat of the Thrutans
The Dark Knight's Selina Kyle is the Cat's Pajamas (First Look)
Warner Brothers is really on a roll. After just unveiling the new Superman mere hours ago, now they have released the first image of Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman, or at least rocking a catsuit, in The Dark Knight Rises, the 2012 sequel to The Dark Knight. Its very interesting that she seems to be riding Batman's own Batpod. Did she steal it perhaps?
Pics of Computer Animated Batgirl and Batman
The final episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Mitefall! has aired overseas and I was able to nab some screen caps of the super secret surprise ending featuring a computer animated Batgirl and Batman.

The Green Hornet (2011) - Discount Review
Not Recommended For: Moms who remember the Green Hornet from his TV series and / or crossover on the Adam West Batman Series way back in '66 (my mom hated this movie).
Heroes: The Green Hornet and sidekick Kato

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Merlin's Magical Marbles
Original Airdate: September 17, 1966
Lex Freaking Luthor! Its about time, even if his first scheme is the worst idea I have ever heard of. He built a time machine to enlist the help of Merlin in his criminal schemes.
Best Part: Watching Superman break the "never shake a baby" code to scold lil' Lex Luthor.
Worst Part: The story was ridiculous. First off, isn't Merlin supposed to be a good guy? Second, why did Merlin’s help involve magic marbles? Surely the whole plot was fashioned for no other reason than to have alliteration in the title. Why not Voldemort's Vanilla Vandals?

Marvelous Animation Tour - Iron Man (1994)
For better or worse, the 1994 Iron Man animated series has a lot in common with the 1994 Fantastic Four animated series. Both series debuted on the same September day as part of The Marvel Action Hour and both had disastrous first seasons.
Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Prehistoric Pterodactyls
Original Airdate: September 17, 1966
In this age old tale, pterodactyls escaped from icebergs requiring intervention from the Ubermansh.
Best Part: Whoa! Those birds were huge AND missile proof. It was hard to appreciate their size until one ate a jet. This really was a job for Superman.
Worst Part: It was pretty ridiculous when Supes started taunting the pterodactyls by calling them “Terry.” And then he hauled them off to space to a better planet. Not so sure dinosaurs can hold their breath that long Kal.

Marvel Teaser Trailer for Agent Coulson Short
Marvel is beginning yet another experiment with their live-action film franchise. Beginning with the release of Thor on DVD, all new shorts that tie into the movies will be released. The first, called simple The Consultant, provides background for the Tony Stark cameo which appeared in The Incredible Hulk. The short focuses on Agent Coulson, Son of Coul and agent of SHIELD.
Onscreen History of Doctor Strange
The Internets have been ablaze with rumors that Marvel studios is pushing forward with a live action Dr. Strange movie. Marvel has long been trying to make Strange a star, but it probably wouldn't be until at least 2014 that there would be an opening in Marvels live action film slate. And believe it or not a feature film would not be the Sorcerer Supreme's first movie. Shall we take a look at the good doctor's onscreen history?
Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Mermen of Emor
Original Airdate: September 10, 1966
In just 6 minutes Jimmy got captured while scuba diving, placed in an underwater glass cube, entered in fish style gladiatorial games, and rescued. Busy day.
Best Part: Yay, for the first time in animation its Jimmy Olsen.
Worst Part: Superman punched sharks in the face. Compared to the smooth animation of Superman's underwater adventure in the Fleischer days, this is laughable.

Captain America Overtakes Green Lantern at the Box Office
After his second weekend at $117 million, the Star Spangled Man with a plan has been promoted past Green Lantern in both the domestic and worldwide box office earnings. Although Cap's earnings have slowed, he still looks to land somewhere around $160 million domestic, which will most likely be enough to earn the franchise a sequel... Major America perhaps?
Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Force Phantom
Original Airdate: September 10, 1966
Great Caesar’s Ghost! Superman fought an invading alien ship that was making an electric force phantom.
Best Part: The gloves are off. Not only did Superman throw punches but he continued to attack the phantom until the ship creating it exploded - and he showed no remorse. Superman, what have you become?
Worst Part: These just may be the aliens that influenced the trade federation from The Phantom Menace.
