I love the SBFFs and I love Solomon Grundy. The combination was not quite successful but I did muster a chuckle at Grundy's line after being mocked and beaten by the girls when he said he was reconsidering fighting girls after all. As of its airing, this was the last of the SBFF batch but I sure hope this charming series gets a much deserved follow up adding Starfire, and Harley Quinn to the mix.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Badladdin
An evil genie tricked a boy into selling his soul to win a shot put competition. Seems like a reasonable deal. I find it interesting that all of the villains in the series are already established but no one in the public has ever heard of them. You would think if a dog man, or a human spider, or an evil genie that turned young boys into statues were on the loose it would make the news. Badladdin was not one of the more interesting villains the series has had to offer, so this was a bit of a bore that had me checking the time every 30 seconds or so. I have to say, Plas getting woven into a rug was a nice gag.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Hippotist
Ahh. That's more like it, a hippo hypnotist, with a monocle! If only he was hungry hungry. What this show needs is a team up. I would love for the Hippotist, the Clam, and the Spider to make a villain team, the Menagerie perhaps.

Super History of Superman: Superman III (1983)
As Jim Morrison said, "This is the end, beautiful friend." Following two amazing movies, Superman III was just not very good, and Superman would have to wait a pretty long time for another good live-action entry. How long? Well that depends, as of now he is still waiting. Still, I am going to make a case for Superman III and say, at least it tried. The movie was a campy, goofy mess but it had some enjoyable elements and it also took some risks, even if they didn't pay off.
Flashpoint Paradox Character Designs Unveiled
Oops they did it again. The sneak peek for Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox has leaked. Despite what was said about the upcoming DC animated movies taking a less literal adaptation of source material, this movie looks awfully close to the Flashpoint story which led into the New 52 - which is fine because it was a very well done story within a rich alternate world. In any case, feast your eyes on some of these character designs from the peek.
Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Maniacal Computerhead
It was a bit of a letdown that "Computerhead" was basically just a robot. I guess it makes sense, but I was expecting something a bit more ridiculous like a man with a calculator face. In a Matrix style revolution, Computerhead took control of machines, even ones with no computer parts in them.
This seems like as good an episode as any to talk about the Plasti-Jet. Plas, Hula, and Penny always fly around in a big red jet. Its like their helicarrier. Why? It seems terribly inefficient, although its pretty cool how it can do vertical landings. At least this episode made a plot point out of the jet by turning it "evil." The lowlight of the episode came as Plas and Co dressed up as machines and went to a robo-disco. Plas hit on a jukebox and Penny got jealous. Super lame. This was horrible, like way worse than a half ape. At least I am nearing the half way point.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Corruptible Carrot Man
Yes, the villain was a man in a carrot suit. You may have guessed that, but you probably wouldn't have guessed that he went crazy after losing on a TV game show or that he had a magical cornucopia. You probably also would not have guessed that he sought a cosmic scepter in the Himalayas using a giant avocado as leverage. Plastic Man eventually beat Carrot Man by taking the form of a rabbit and threatening to eat him. This just may have been the most preposterous episode yet.
The escapades between Plas and Penny were also particularly kinky this time as he took the form of a trampoline and she jumped on him... Baby Plas was inevitable.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Empire of Evil
While the last few episodes all gave a pretty good idea of the villain by the title, I wasn't really sure what to expect this time. Nothing about Empire of Evil really suggested a redheaded skeleton witch. Though titling the episode Shenana and the Stone Soldiers wouldn't have tipped me off too much either. Speaking of the giant stone soldiers, they were probably the highlight for me... though the red headed Shenana wasn't too hard on the eyes, once she had skin that is.
