While not quite as charming as the best of this series, this was still an excellent chapter leading up to what is sure to be an epic finale. Amethyst is so endearing and the animation is so well done that I can't imagine this as a full series not being a huge hit.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Around The World in 80 Riddles
Making his triumphant post-Legion of Doom return was the enigmatic Riddler. The joy of seeing the Riddler was unfortunately mostly offset by the plot which turned the Super Friends into baby brains idiots. Lots of baby talk does not make a good episode. Also, a more accurate title would have been around the world in 2 riddles. Anyway, what does it say about the Riddler if he was still bested by the group of dummies? Its hard to feel too bad for Riddler. If he didn't want to lose he would drop the whole Riddle shtick.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Circus of Horrors
He may not have been Tawney, but the circus' evil tiger sure was talky. I guess the animals had just had enough. My favorite part was when Superman used an elephant as a bowling ball but lets not forget about Wonder Zebra. Its just a shame the heroes didn't stay transformed for a little longer.

Super History of Superman: Superman: Doomsday (2007)
After the abysmal Superman: Brainiac Attacks the year previous, Superman: Doomsday had something to prove. Not only was this the Man of Steel's shot at redemption, but the movie ushered in the modern wave of DC's direct to video productions. And Doomsday did a great job of capturing the grand scale feel that this film line deserved. Superman: Doomsday aimed to translate one of the best known Superman stories in the Death and Return of Superman arcs, and while the film probably bit off more than in could chew, it was mostly a success.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Man in the Moon
In a stunning turn of events the moon was actually a giant egg. Even in his giant size, Apache Chief was still just bite-sized to the beast. But thanks to the Atom's magic lever, he was able to grow bigger than ever. They ended up welding the creature back in the moon egg... I am not sure how effective that would be though. Its not as if you could glue a chic back in an egg without killing it. Definitely a step backward as far as show quality is concerned, but I guess they can't all be home runs.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Mxyzptlk Strikes Again
Mr. Mixed Pickle was quite the aspiring film buff. In his previous appearance he took the Friends into the Wizard of Oz and before that he made them act out a script that he had written. This time he was back with a magic typewriter that made his stories come to life. Why he made Aquaman a cowboy I will never know. I admit it was fun seeing "Kid Superman" defeat Sheriff Aquaman. While not great, this was another reasonably fun episode. We are officially on a roll.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Invasion of the Gleeks
Wow, this episode had it all: sinister simians, an evil Gleek, superhero weaknesses exposed, a turtle mounted ice turret, and like a cherry on top of the sundae, a giant robot monkey. Sure the episode never really went into why the Exxorian monkeys were evil, but maybe they were just misguided.
