Evolution of the Batman (and Robin) - Batman on Scooby Doo

In 1972, Batman and Robin teamed up with the Scooby gang on the New Scooby Doo Movies show (which also hosted such guests as the Addams Family, the Globetrotters, and Don Knotts).

In fact, the Dynamic Duo appeared twice with Scooby and Co, both times to take down the combined forces of the Joker and the Penguin.

In "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair"aka "The Crooked Counterfeiters" Scooby and company witnessed a plane landing in a field and a truck making a delivery to an old house (its later revealed the house can turn upside down, hiding it underground). They found an old woman living inside, having received a punching clown. But when it's broken apart, they found it filled with counterfeit money. The gang was soon joined by Batman and Robin, the Dynamic Duo, who've tracked the plane in pursuit of the counterfeiters in the form of the Joker and the Penguin.

In "The Caped Crusader Caper" aka "The Sying Fluit-- er Flying Suit", Scooby and the gang try to foil the Joker and the Penguin's attempts to steal a flying suit from a goofy scientist. Basically, 40 minutes was a lot of running time for these adventures, so be prepared for lots of time stretching antics.



In all, Batman and Robin's appearances on Scooby Doo were nothing to write home about, but considering they were all the onscreen exposure the Dynamic Duo received for several years I presume they were a pretty big hit at the time.
