During the first couple seasons of Batman: The Brave and the Bold! Superman was on the no fly list as show runners opted to feature lesser known heroes. Though it was only a matter of time before fans received their demanded World's Finest team-up. Superman made his very first appearance in 2010 during a brief cameo in Sidekicks Assemble! in which his face was not even shown.
In 2011's Battle of the Superheroes! Superman finally got his full fledged appearance in a jam packed love letter to fans of the Man of Steel offering tributes and homages to the vast rich history of Superman. To do the episode justice, I would have to post about 50 images.
In this 20 minute episode, villains including Metallo, Lex Luthor, Toyman, Mr. Mxyzptlk, and Brainiac all appeared along with green and red varieties of kryptonite and Krypto the Superdog. Silver age Superman comic book covers were lampooned as an infected Superman acted like a, um, jerk. The episode also featured a brilliant homage to The Dark Knight Returns in the form of a smack down between Batman and Supes.

Of course, the series was not complete until Wonder Woman joined DC's holy trinity in Triumvirate of Terror! in which Cheetah, Lex, and the Joker attempted to take out each others foes.The episode ended with a glimpse of the future with the geriatric trio still fighting the forces of villainy.
