After the dismal Superpup another attempt was made to keep Superman alive on TV with The Adventures of Superboy. A pilot was made in 1961 titled Rajah's Ransom which would have featured the onscreen debut of Superboy and Lana Lang. The unaired pilot did not get picked up for a series and the live-action Superman took a long hiatus the screen. Animation, on the other hand would keep the hero alive for years to come...

I've got this show on bootleg (had it for almost ten years), and it's quite enjoyable. :) In fact, I keep expecting to see Wally, Eddie, and Lumpy make a special guest-appearance in the episode! :) It's got that kind'a flavor to it, and that's NOT a bad thing at all! :)
