The episode played as a day in the life of Batman as he encountered various problems in the slums. This is another one where even though I didn't love it, I can't be too critical. It's just not my cup of tea, but its certainly not bad.
The main story involved Dagget's scheme to torch Crime Alley in order to rebuild a better neighborhood. Its hard to argue that some redevelopment was in order, even if the methods chosen were wrong. We also got to see Bruce's connection to the slum where his parents were killed. So, yes there was some character development to appreciate, but not much thrilling action beyond that.
