Crisis of Infinite Episodes - New Teen Titans: Apprentice, Part 3

As a sequel to the two-part episode Apprentice, this episode had it all: Larry the Titan, Slade, Slikie... in drag!? Maybe things were taken a little too far with the whole make-out between Larry and Silkie in Starfire's underwear. I don't know whether to laugh or barf. But I do know this short is a keeper. It should also be mentioned that we got cameos by H.I.V.E. academy members Gizmo, Jinx, and Mammoth - and since we know Jinx reformed, this must have taken place before the series 5th season.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Return of Batduck

In 1992, The Plucky Duck Show was imagined as a spin-off of Tiny Toon Adventures, though only the first episode was original to the spin-off series. It just so happened that this episode, a full length adventure, payed homage to the then in release, Batman Returns. The episode was less parody and more meta-humor packed focusing on Plucky Duck hoping to land the lead role in Tim Burton's Batman sequel. After all, Plucky had "played" Batduck before.

Onscreen History of Quicksilver

Pietro Maximoff AKA Quicksilver is about to get his big chance. The mutant child of Magneto and Marvel's arguably most famous speedster has made headlines recently after it was revealed he would be included in the highly anticipated Avengers 2. Just days later, it was revealed that plans were in the works for Quicksilver to also appear in Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past. The dude is quick, but will he be able to handle two franchises at the once? He did it in the comics debuting in 1964's X-Men #4 and joining the Avengers in issue #16 just a year later. Lets take a sprint down memory lane and look at Quicksilver's previous forays into TV and  movies.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - How I Spent My Vacation

In addition to numerous parodies of DC heroes on the Tiny Toon Adventures, the Man of Steel himself made a cameo on the direct to video Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation. Supes swooped down to rescue Buster and Babs, but left them to their fate after being told to get his own video. A couple of fun facts. In 1992, this was the very first direct to video animated movie paving the way for the onslaught that would follow of everything from Bambi 2, to Barbie Mermaidia , to the line of DC Universe Animated Original Movies / DC Comics Premiere Movies. Of course, Superman would eventually get several of his own videos beginning with Brainiac Attacks in 2006.

Super History of Superman: Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993-7)

While Superboy technically featured a man, none of the classic Superman supporting cast were present. So, once this series debuted it was the first time in my life that Superman had a regular rotation on TV. And while not every episode is great, the series has its own charm. As implied by the title, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman took the spotlight somewhat off the Man of Steel in favor of the relationship between Daily Planet Co-workers Lois and CK.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Just-Us League of Supertoons

Batduck proved a popular parody paving the way for a full on Justice League homage on Tiny Toons Adventures in 1992 during a segment of New Class Day titled Just-Us League of Supertoons. In the adventure, Batduck and Decoy were asked to join the League composed of Superbun,Wonder Babs, Little Dasher, Hawk Loon, Aquamutt, Pink Canary, Keen Arrow, and Scentana (extra points for the Zatanna homage). The invitation was revoked when the League realized Batduck had no powers.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Bat's All Folks

Simply brilliant. In 1990, The Tiny Toon Adventures episode Inside Plucky Duck featured a pair of shorts about the inner workings of Plucky Duck's mind.  The first short, Bat's All Folks, offered up an amazing homage to "The Duck Knight." With a story credit to Bruce Timm in his pre-Batman: The Animated Series days, its really no wonder that the episode was so amazing.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Superbabs

In the 1990 first season episode of Tiny Toon Adventures, the episode Cinemaniacs! had Babs and Buster Bunny theater hopping (rabbit style) with each flick getting a segment of the episode. The first short titled Superbabs put Babs Bunny into the iconic blue and red. I suppose this may actually be a Supergirl parody, but the villain, Wex Wuthor is of course the parody nemesis of Superman. Essentially, Superbabs stopped Wex from inking Acme woods.
