The season was short, but mostly sweet indeed. After the legendary Challenge of the Super Friends season with the Legion of Doom, Galactic Guardians is my second favorite season of the Super Friends franchise. Its always nice when a series gets to go out on a high note.
You could sense that the series was maturing with some darker tales involving the deaths of Batman's parents and Superman. This was one time that I think there was still some creative juice in the tank that could have made some more great stories. But alas... it was not to be.
Top Three
1. The Fear - A fantastic first time telling of Batman's origin around a well crafted Scarecrow plot.
2. The Death of Superman - Pretty fun, at least as far as funerals are concerned, with a compelling argument as to why Superman is the heart of the Justice League.
3. The Wild Cards - Welcome back Joker, you had been missed and your return is the cherry on top of the season.
Series Stinker
Escape from Space City - This was not offensive, just boring and a poor under utilization of the lords of Apokolips.
